With the passing of Mr. Ratan Tata, I am struck by the impermanence of life and the certainty of death. His loss reminds me of how fragile our existence truly is. It’s moments like these, when the world loses a giant, that we are forced to pause and reflect on the finite nature of our own journey. No matter how much we achieve, or how far we reach, death remains the ultimate equalizer, stripping away the layers of material success and leaving only the impact of what we leave behind.
This reality resonates deeply with me, especially after my own brush with death in 2021. I was in a devastating accident , one that could have easily taken everything from me. It was a moment that redefined my understanding of life. In an instant, I was forced to confront how delicate the thread of existence really is. The crash wasn’t just a collision of vehicles, it was a collision of my identity, my ambitions, and my very survival.
The experience left me with an acute understanding of how life can change, or end, in the blink of an eye. It shook my foundation, and with that, came a painful but profound awareness. Life is so much more fragile than we imagine, and yet, we move through it believing we have control over time.
In confronting my own mortality, I realized that death is a constant shadow, but it doesn’t have to be a source of fear. Instead, it is a reminder to embrace life fully, to be grateful for the moments we have, and to face each day with intention. Our struggles, no matter how painful, are part of the fabric of our existence. They shape us, teach us, and make us appreciate the gift of being alive.
